About the Event

In recognition of National Recovery Month, the iThirst Initiative will host Tim Hayes, natural horsemanship clinician and author of Riding Home, The Power of Horses to Heal. This 1 day program from 10am – 4pm is offered to anyone impacted substance use disorders, trauma and PTSD. Providers and mental health professionals are also invited. It is by interacting with their horse that participants will learn, execute and experience the Equine Therapy Clinic Program. Clinic participants will be asked to perform simple basic equine ground skills most often referred to as “Groundwork”. Each participant will have a haltered horse on the ground with a lead rope. They will be asked to interact with their horse including asking the horse to walk, back up, turn and stop and more. There will be NO RIDING in this clinic.  If you wish to attend without interacting with the horses, it is an option to audit the clinic by sitting, watching, and taking notes while witnessing the power of horses to heal.  This clinic is for anyone interested in horses, humans and healing

For this clinic, contact Angela to discuss the two options and choose whether you wish to participate  or to audit. Call or email Angela at  781-738-1577; sacredtree22@gmail.com
