I have heard my husband say many times that "Every day is a holiday and every meal is Thanksgiving". He expresses his gratitude daily and truly honors his life and the gifts of having good health, love, food, clothing and shelter. Not taking for granted the basic needs that each and everyone of us deserves to have. As you celebrate Thanksgiving on November 26th, may you pause and reflect upon what you are thankful for. May your heart overflow with thankfulness. It has been said that gratitude is a vitamin for the soul. I heard that love is such a deep gratitude. When you are truly in love with life, every breath you take is gratitude. Sit quietly. Close your eyes. What are you grateful and thankful for? Now, Breathe in gratitude to fill your heart and soul. Continue to inhale the thankfulness, love, joy, appreciation, happiness, peace and contentment. May you too not only celebrate thanks and giving on this day but every day. I love this writing by Melody Beattie. She said "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates vision for tomorrow."
